Friend-based Recommendation Mobile App Coming Soon

Whether you completed our survey last summer or responded on Instagram this week, thank you for your support!
As a reminder, we are creating a platform that allows you to easily share and reference the recommendations from your friends and family. We live in an experience-driven culture, but selecting the restaurant, hotel, or activity that best fits your needs requires hours of googling, scrolling social media, and cross-referencing what you find with random review sites. BUT the resource that you trust the most—recommendations from friends and family—is not as easily accessible to you. Our goal is to change that!
The idea for making the app was born out of our own experience planning our honeymoon to Hawaii when we asked friends and family for their recommendations. While we were fortunate enough to receive a lot of great advice (shoutout Meghan and Sam Rath for sending us to Da Crack in Kauai, a hidden gem for the best burritos!), we noticed that the recommendations came in all different forms via phone calls, google docs, email, text, notes app screenshots, etc. Moreover, when we were in Hawaii, we received even more recommendations from friends responding to our Instagram stories. That’s when we thought—why isn’t there an easy way to see where your friends have been and their reviews (only your friends and not random people on Yelp)? Better yet, after our honeymoon, we had friends ask for our recommendations and we realized there was no easy way for us to remember and share the restaurants, beaches, or hikes that we loved.

From talking with friends, we realized this difficulty is a shared experience, not only related to travel but also when you’re exploring your own city.

So, we joined forces with my cousin Claudia and her fiancé Matt who were also passionate about creating a solution to this problem! Over the last 6 months, we’ve zoomed, brainstormed, and designed, and are excited to be coming out with a mobile app in Spring of 2024!
As we get closer to our launch, we want to bring you along on our journey to be the first to access our app. Be on the lookout for more Newsletters (we promise we won’t spam!) and our soon-to-exist socials!
